There should be huge warning labels on all travel books on Bangkok saying, "Never listen to a local" and "Don't ever trust a tuk tuk." Also, it takes all day to see a couple sights, taking in the fact that no one speaks english, there are no signs in english and traffic is horrendous. Also, the heat coupled with the fact that you have to dress in longsleeves/pants is enough to make anyone pass out from dehydration. The only parts of Thailand that are beautiful and worth seeing is out of Bangkok. So, in planning our next trip, "Straight to the Phuket!"
