12:30 a.m. The sound of our alarm wakes us from a restless slumber.
1:12 a.m. We leave the villa.
1:35 a.m. We pick up our guide, Wayan.
2:03 a.m. We arrive at the foot of Mt. Agung.
5:57 a.m. Reach the summit of Mt. Agung. The air was about 4 degrees. The wind was blowing about 20 km/hr and all I had on was a thin cardigan and leggings. Every inch of my body was frozen, but after Wayan gave me hot tea and a Pop Mie (instant saimin) I was able to get up and take a few photos just as the sun was rising. And boy, was it an experience.
